I am running because I believe North Port needs leadership that listens to residents, respects taxpayers, and focuses on the basics. I want to help make sure our roads, drainage, public safety, water and sewer, and other essential services keep up with the needs of the people who already live here. I also want stronger accountability in how the City spends money and makes major decisions. For me, this is not about having a political title. It is about serving the community, protecting the character of North Port, and making sure families can continue to afford to live here and be proud to call it home.
Make sure taxpayer dollars are spent carefully, transparently, and on real priorities. Before raising taxes, fees, or assessments, the City should first review spending, reduce waste, and make sure existing resources are being used efficiently.
Focus on fixing and maintaining the infrastructure residents depend on every day. Roads, drainage, utilities, traffic flow, and emergency access should keep pace with development and population needs.
Support development that fits the character of North Port, has adequate infrastructure, and provides a clear benefit to the community. Growth should pay its fair share and should not leave existing residents with the cost of fixing problems afterward.
Keep police, fire, EMS, and emergency preparedness among the City’s highest priorities. As North Port grows, public safety resources must grow responsibly with it.
Residents should be able to understand how major decisions are made, how money is spent, and why projects are approved. I want clearer explanations, stronger oversight, and more respect for public input.
Preserve the quality and stability of established neighborhoods. Higher-density or more intense development should be directed to appropriate areas where roads, utilities, and commercial services can support it.
Major financial and policy decisions should not be used to work around the public. When residents clearly reject a proposal, City leadership should listen, reconsider it, and come back with a better solution.
Have questions or suggestions? I would love to hear from you!
